Heaven
"They say that heaven is compared to 'the blink of an eye' for us on this earth. Sometimes it helps me to think of my child running ahead of me through a beautiful field of wildflowers and butterflies; so completely caught up in what he is doing that when he looks behind him, I'll already be there."

Beautiful. And as far as I understand...true. Though it surely seems different...this life is but a twinkling. Ollie and Poppy will be yours FOREVER, Tiff.
ReplyDeleteI know that will happen! Love that quote
ReplyDeleteTiffany,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Pinterest, and I'm so glad I did. I think of you SO often. I have admired your strength and candidness about sharing in your sons passing and making others aware of the dangers of washing machines. You're a very strong woman, and I admire you for that. Not too long ago I was visiting my sons graveside at the cemetery and it was bitter-sweet to see your sons headstone right above his. I like to think those two boys are good friends in heaven! I know both of our reunions will be ever so joyful one day. I truly believe Ollie was just too pure and too perfect to have to endure this mortal life. He definitely has a glow in his pictures. I pray that you can continue to find peace from day to day and that your burden may be lighter.
Keep on, keepin on Tiffany. You're an inspiration.
Much love,
Jamie (Schroeppel) Gillman
Jamie. Thank you so much for writing and for your kind words.
DeleteWe actually chose that spot for Ollie to be buried because he would be close to another little boy, we didn't want him to be alone..sounds funny but you understand im sure.
Your sister Amy talks about you being an amazing woman too, You have to be to get through this kind of loss. My prayers are with you and your family too. We always look at your sons headstone, Well actually only twice because I live in Oregon...much Love to you
I love this. I long for that moment I am reunited with my doll. The excitement is what gets me through. We are promised it will be wonderful, more joyous than we can imagine. I can't wait.
