Fresh air

For work, Chris had to drive to a few ski resorts and replace some equipment, so Loxxley and I decided to tag along. ((Thank you so much mom and Sandy for watching Poppy)) We thought it might be a little relaxing, even though long hours in the car are never very pleasant.

We visited Mammoth Mountain, Yosemite  National Park, Lake Tahoe, and Truckee.
All such beautiful places, and all of which I had never seen in person.

Here are a few pics...btw I had a melt down/breakdown last week-whatever you want to call it-I'm sure it was a grief induced melt down. So, this little vay-cay was much needed for my own healing. I took lots of deep breaths and tried to just be in the moment!

^^^Thank you Chris ^^^

And of course a few pics of our sweet Loxx. He didn't even cry, maybe a few nights, but I already forgot about that part. He was so pleasant and happy the entire time!!!

Family-time

My parents, my grams and little bro came to visit...and heal our hearts. It sure helps a little to be around family and just laugh...oh and of course we cried a little too. I did give my family long hugs just like I said I was going to do!! Sure do love them all.
My cute parents...Love my dads young, cool hair cut. They made me laugh out loud a lot while they were here..good times!

Rainy day. Hot fire.

Love the Oregon rain, most of the time.(not too much since I have been missing Ollie, I get depressed but I am thankful for a warm fire) So thankful I have a stove to heat my house when it get chilly. I am the family kindling chopper and fire starter.(Chris does it when he has time, which is almost never) It is so relaxing to sit next to the fire, feel its warmth and smell the fresh pine cones and wood. oh and by the way, the fire is the only way we heat our house...so it gets pretty chilly if Im too lazy to start the fire.
Nice, Cozy fire!
Our big backyard-we got this house for Ollie, so he could run around in the backyard..sad
Wood donated by our kind friends! so thankful
Fire starters...made by my best mom. Wax, drier lint and pine cones. So amazing. If you want the exact recipe let me know. They could be used for emergency preparedness.

Thankful

So my life is not all sad...I do have so many things to be thankful for and I really need to appreciate what I do have. We are so blessed! Going through this trial it's horrible and the hardest thing I have gone through but it could always be worse...
We have our sweet Poppy who we adore and she adores us right back!
And Ms. Poppy has her brothers beautiful blue eyes!
I have a wonderful husband and father to my children! This is just a funny picture Chris put her like this and she was stuck...he really is such a loving, and fun daddy!
Chris sure adores and love his children! He takes care of us very well!
I have a wonderful family who supports us. Chris' family is so supportive too, just dont have a picture of them (well an appropriate picture...(heather and wendy.lol..)
These special children call and sing an opera song to us everyday and they never stop smiling and loving life...they sure warm my heart and are truly from heaven
